She made the bold transitioning from R&B to pop rock. Without her, there would have been no Avril or Kelly Clarkson. She is highly regarded by the GP and one of the most beloved pop girls probably only second to Beyonce. Everybody knows her name & her songs. Her not causing controversy doesn't mean she has no impact.
I think Funhouse was a step in the right direction (her only album I own), but TTAL wasn't great, and TTD is cringeworthy at best JLF is better, but not nearly as good as most of the songs on Funhouse. She needs to make songs like the ones on that album, but hopefully even better. Then maybe she'll be a legend.

I think Avril still would have been Avril with or without P!nk.
She debuted right when emo culture was emerging and the GP was shifting away from bubblegum pop to rock pop.
Kelly, on the other hand, definitely was inspired by both Avril and P!nk.
OT: I am really rooting for P!nk to be bigger than she is. She's been slaying in her career but its gone unnoticed. I mean she just got her first #1 album in 2012, 12 years into her career.
