I'm pretty sure the Music Core rule has been gone for ages, I've seen loads of people lip sync on it. They probably got pressured out of it by SM and JYP or something

Even Shinee lip sync reasonably often, albeit far less than other SM groups sans Red Velvet. Fyi I'm not trying to drag Exo or anyone else, I couldn't care less about lip syncing it often makes for a better overall performance because idols are able to focus on their choreography & stage presence far more.
