Obama already won both terms. It's over. Trashing him won't make any difference for you.

Before today, maybe 1% of Americans knew who Senator Perdue was.
After today, probably 30-50% of Americans know, and at the very least, all the racists and tea party people who LOVE Trump know exactly who he is, and are mounting him as the next grassroots/populist hero.
I'm wiling to bet he's going to get a ton more speaking engagements on Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and by 2020, will be the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.
This guy isn't stupid, and certainly isn't actually a racist. He was a President and CEO of Reebok. You don't get into that position by being stupid, saying stupid things, or actually harboring racist thoughts.
This guy is definitely inspired by Trump.

These people claim to not be "the party of Trump." Lmao - they were just as racist and awful throughout the past eight years, just nowhere near as overt. It's rather sickening.

So this will be the official new Republican trend? Be racist and bigoted to be front-runner just because it kind of worked for Trump? Frightening that that's what the Republican party wants. And people are forgetting that being racist worked for Donald Trump because that's just part of Trump's natural personality—he is legitimately racist—and that strategy may not be as successful for someone else. It's ironic that Hillary Clinton is what Republicans used to look like, meanwhile Republicans of today come off as crazy radicalists or fascists. America doesn't mind racism, as long as it's behind closed doors. Public, blatant, balls-to-the-wall racists will never be elected into office.

Oh, I don't believe this guy actually wants to be President, just as I don't think Trump actually wants to be, either. It's his first term, and he's already plotting a run for the Presidency, which tells me he probably doesn't care for the hours and hours of drudgery and work involved with being a freshman Senator.
He's going to run for the Presidency, get lots of airtime, fame and glory, and perhaps angle for a job on television ala Huckabee or Palin.
Racist people only make up a minority of this country, which is why these people will never be President. But it's enough to build a rabid fanbase and get fame quickly.

I mean when their only chance of regaining the White House is through a death or indictment says a lot about where their party is headed when the rest of the world has moved on.

The only part I disagree on is him being inspired by trump. This has been part of the Republican playbook for pretty much the entirety of Obama's presidency, and if anything, Donald had to learn it from somewhere.
