I am sick and tired of hearing about people being shot and killed in the US. I feel like I can't go anywhere without being at risk and this horrific crime involving Christina Grimmie has pushed me over the edge.
Don't you think it's time to get guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them? How can people deny that there is NOT a gun epidemic in this country? What are we going to do about this?
I agree that more needs to be done with preventing them from getting in the wrong hands, but unfortunately it's a culture that will take generations to get rid of.
I don't think it will ever be fixed because of how our constitution is. Gun supporters will use that document until Armageddon to protect their right to own a **** ton of guns. When it was written I don't think our forefathers could have imagined how strong our weapons would be or how many people America would have that could have firearms.
America should start with closing down all gun selling outlets if they're gonna decide to change things. Asking people to hand them in is impossible due to the amount people have in the country.

If access is limited, crime would also be lower. It's purely theoretical you might say, well come to Europe and see for yourself.

I completely agree. Guns need to be banned and background checks strictly enforced. 90 people a day die from gun violence in the U.S. That's a terrifying statistic.
Ban the ****ing guns. Statistically it's undeniable. Having guns to protect yourself is just fighting fire with fire. I really can't see how having them is an inalienable right that everyone must have.
