This literally makes no sense though. If she was scared about flopping, then why wouldn't she list the "Formation" video and put it on Spotify as soon as she saw it shoot to #1 upon Lemonade's release?

She quite clearly doesn't give a crap about singles anymore, which I suppose is her prerogative as an artist.

The public DOES have access to this album. Everyone does. It's not a special exclusive for certain people. If you want the album, purchase it.

Also, Beyonce has been in the media for nearly 20 years now? Why are you more concerned with her being a public figure for your satisfaction, versus her well being as a person? Maybe she's at the point where that type of attention doesn't fulfill her anymore. Maybe she's at the point where she's okay with having privacy, not performing on anyone's stage but her own, and working for herself. Beyonce is still releasing music for her fans. She's still an active artist. You're just experiencing an artist that took back the power of the industry and wrapped it around her finger.

Beyoncé is highly successful, and the album itself as well as its supporting stadium tour are selling exceptionally well.

It's probably best to not hope for validation from millions of people to factually prove to yourself and members on a pop music forum that the song is great. Surely if you think the song is good, that's the bottom line.

An artist like Carly and Run Away With Me is an example of someone who would actually benefit from the hopes and prays of her fanbase wanting the single to be a hit. No shade, but she actually needs it - it would greatly improve her career, earn her millions and make her more famous. Beyoncé, Taylor, Adele, among others, don't require such assistance. Don't worry over such insignificant matters.
