Xbox One Exclusive Fails To Break 200K in USA
Quote:
According to the NDP, Quantum Break has yet to sell over 200K at retail in the US. While digital sales aren't known yet, that number of retail sales is low for a game that was released in early April for both Xbox One and PC...

To be fair with Remedy, these type of games just don't resonate well with the Xbox core audience and with the XB1 sales not really as comparably good as 360, it will really speak volumes on games with limited appeal. No surprise now that Remedy is with a new partner.

That's simply not true, Alan Wake sold over 1,000,000 copies within its first year and went on to over 2,000,000 and 5,000,000 for the franchises two releases. Xbox fans love Remedy, however, Quantum Break would certainly not be everyone's cup of tea with the TV Show tie-in. It's something that has never really been done.
The under 200K sold also doesn't include the Xbox One Quantum Break bundle, nor the digital sales of the game that included a free W10 copy (which sold faster than the physical copy of the game). So I'd expect sales a little closer to 400K in the USA. However, NPD doesn't track those sales (even though digital sales are near half the total sales of games these days).
Also, Remedy has not "partnered" with someone else, they are essentially having someone else publish another of the two titles they are currently working on (They have partnered with Rockstar and multiple others for the Max Payne series which is not Xbox exclusive). The second of which is most probably Alan Wake 2. Remedy and Microsoft have always had a good relationship, so Id expect that to continue considering their biggest franchise is an Xbox exclusive.

WOW. I hope that's not including bundles
I don't understand why people buy digital games, nothing beats having the stack of game cases.

Most of that sales came from PC holiday bundles and discounts.

That bundle is a complete non factor according to NPD and W10 sales have been disappointing to the point ROTR W10 sales were just 2% of the PC sales.

Alan Wake is not an IP of Microsoft, they can reboot it if they want and given they have flop tremendously with QB, that relationship is definitely not as strong as it once was. Just check Rare or Lionhead for details.
Who knows? Remedy did visit Naughty Dog HQ just a while ago. #nosmokenofire

I don't assume unlike the other poster in here. I bring facts no lies.
I said it, Remedy visited ND. Did I lie? I posted an article about Quantum break's sales. Did I make up that number? I even defended Remedy for their terrible Quantum Break sales. While you, you are actually trying to refute everything as if you are the developer in question. That you have the answer for everything yet I refuted you. WHY the personal attack, sis? I have not even for once attack you beyond the assumptiveness of yours in this thread. Why,sis?

The only truth here is you spew hate towards pretty much anything that's not SCE. If it's Nintendo, or Microsoft it's immediate hate. I don't understand really why you would root for either side to fail considering we only have the big 3 left (Sega, Atari, etc are out of the running).
It's nothing personal, I'm glad you're a gamer, it's just disappointing. I enjoy PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U so it's nothing against your taste, just your posts. You can dislike Microsoft, but at least try not posting negative stuff all the time.
If Remedy develops a game for Sony, that's great! They have before. I doubt Naughty Dog would work with them though since they are so nose deep in The Last of Us and Uncharted recent release.

Maybe it's time to log off if you want to censor people and away from their freedom of speech just to enjoy your brit-()nstar-free ATRL stay in here. Truth sometimes hurt and you just gotta take the L and move on. That's what I did when Vita flopped. Did I say anything negative about MS that isn't true? Or did you even bother tried to reflect on that other posters in here are doing the stuff that I do without the receipts and against Sony? I mean. 😒

Not Uncharted doing like 20x that in it's first week.
I'm not surprised, though. There's little to no hype and the gameplay looked tragic.

I used to have that exact thought process. However, after Amazon lost a game in the post (that I pre-ordered over a year in advance for), I've gone digital and not looked back. So easy being able to switch between games rather then get up, rummage through my collection and find what I'm looking for. A combination of laziness and ease of access.

Its coo and youre right, I never notice many other negative Sony posts. Just seems like you post a lot of negative press and ignore the positive. But I don't wanna keep this thread off topic, nothing against you!
