No. When 2 or 3 parties have to work together to get 50+% combined majority, they can't play that obstructionism against the other party anymore because they are all involved in it and responsible for it. And it moderates the extreme proposals when you have to convince 2 or 3 parties to vote for it.
European countries usually have the following parties:
- Liberals for the rich, privileged and stopping the unprivileged from climbing up.
- Social democrats (and Christian).
- Socialists for the worker's rights, benefits and make it harder for the bosses.
- Nationalists with a clean mainstream image.
- Green for cleaner air in the cities, pushing the cars out, banning old polluting cars (or ask entry fee).
- Extreme right campaigning for deporting minorities, had strong-arm boys (leaders used to lead gangs for beating up people), convicted for racism,...
- Communists, if they get 1 seat, it would be a surprise.
