tbh I think Japan is so important for her now because she has the chance to become the new western it girl for Japan; Avril and Gaga have been away for a while and Mariah isn't releasing as much. She should seize the moment.

I think she meant something a bit more edgy, and I hope it will be very up-tempo.
Anyway she should seriously collab with some japanese singer and release a single for Japan only. Also, she said that she's open to work with japanese producers, if I was her team, I'd book some sessions with Yasukata Nakata immediately.
