I already acknowledged that she's no longer in her prime and that she used to be an undeniable force in the music industry but this is not the case anymore. And I'm confused as to why you would brag about those 15M+ records sold when literally 70% of her come from one single ? Sure, her shows sell well since she sells herself as a performer but when it comes to the relevancy of her music nowadays, it has very little to none. Take off On The Floor and her sales are extremely meager. Add On The Floor and her record sales are concentrated in one single. All of her recent albums have been considered as collections of mediocre tracks in which you could find a few standouts but on the whole, her music got her no recognition.

And I still don't get what your last point has to do with what I said or with the topic at hand. "She's much more known than just her music", yeah ok, I never denied that. If anything that's exactly what I'm saying. You're taking this as some kind of drag but I don't see what's so upsetting about that. She's a 46yo woman who has had her years of relevancy as a musician but who is nowadays more known as a fashion icon and that's nothing but the truth

You're clearly still missing the point. With your logic Beyonce is also known for her fashion now (MET Gala, Style Icon Award, etc) more than her music since she's haven't had a mega smash in several years.

No, Beyoncé's albums sell, her recent music garnered a lot of critical acclaim, won her tons of music-related awards and is actually discussed. This is not up for debate. I'll also add that she has also been a much more consistent hitmaker than Jlo this decade in spite of the latter having a huge single and Beyoncé supposedly being a flop when it comes to those.

She had one huge smash (OTF), another moderate hit (Dance Again) and three others Gold/Platinum singles, two of them failing to chart well (I'm Into You and FTL) while another one includes streams (Booty, and we all know how she got those). This is not what I would call "countless successful singles"

And J.Lo has a SOLD OUT Vegas residency.

Maybe you can get your fellow hive together instead of the good sis coming for J.Lo for no apparent reason when the facts are there.

The world knows that Jennifer Lopez is an actress, singer, dancer whether or not she's passed her prime or has a string of flops as of late. How is this even up for debate? J.Lo, a model? It just seems silly and pathetic, and I don't really get how someone can be so worked up about it.

Anyway, I'm not even arguing at this point. I just feel like the good sis is just looking for anything to drag "J.Lo" when she's clearly known, first and foremost, as an international entertainer. There's nothing else to discuss really. The facts are there, but drag and discredit her recent projects when she's already an established ICON (due to her film and music careers) if it makes ya'll somehow feel better.
