i just finished EX'ACT (the korean portion, just started listening to the chinese section) and... it's one of, if not, THE best k-pop album of the year
the fact i deadass bought it and thought they were more songs
i legit SCREAMED when 'Stronger' ended. it went by so fast! every song, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 are B O P S. there's not one single filler track (in my opinion). it starts with a punch and ends with another (my men even make ballads sound like smashes).
from the morning sex anthem 'Cloud 9' to the light trap esque 'They Never Know' back to the smash waiting to happen 'Artificial Love', they all WORK. i haven't been this crazy for a full k-pop album (not a mini or ep) in a bit. they ride the **** out of the production but they also never let themselves get swallowed in it. and each of them shine so well on each of the tracks. from Kai's seductive purring on 'They Never Know' to Suho, Baek, & Xiumin slaying their vocals at every given opportunities to D.O. harmonzing with HIS OWN DAMN SELF, im... im slaughtered
this album is the definition of a perfect k-pop album, hell, a pop album in GENERAL. when will any western male artist/group come this close? tbh, they can't. this is next level **** and just, i'm so proud of them for delivering a true magnum opus (and they upstaged EXODUS in every way and that was [up until now] my favorite album of theirs)
