I think of them like this: there is a Democrat base that is just fine with Hillary but they want this country to grow more left word so they voted for Hillary - I imagine this is most of his voters that aren't millennials and/or Independents. They'll do what the party decides as they know how this works. And then there is the group of millennials that are probably Democrats but are so new to this that they haven't made up their minds. They are upset that Bernie lost but they'll be willing to vote for Hillary to stop Trump if the right concessions are in play. Great. And then there is section that includes millennials and Independents that normally do not vote that honestly believe that Bernie is the great hero we need and if he doesn't get it, no one should get it. The first two can be reasoned with, the last cannot. I'm sure she'll do what is necessary to win over the second group I mentioned. I think the third is a lost cause.

I know I was just going off on a tangent.

Though I do think ultimately Bernie's going to drop out after DC (hence the meetings with Obama and Reid) and make sure that his supporters have a place to go.

I see him being promised the budget committee chairman position, DWS being removed as head of the DNC (with Tulsi Gabbard likely replacing her - though I'm iffy about her), and him having a some influence over her VP choice and the rhetoric for the campaign in the fall.

I also imagine he'll hit the campaign trail for Hillary as well and her team is apparently offering it to him from what I saw on CNN.

Everything will be fine. Bernie actually likes Clinton and has said it multiple times, he's just being stubborn. He'll come around soon.

As long as Bernie gives a heartfelt endorsement to Hillary, as Hillary did for Obama back in '08, we will win the general election easily. If not, we're screwed.

Come on Bernie, make American proud pls.

DWS is on her way out as DNC head anyways, I doubt she plans on sticking around after this. Tulsi is a bad replacement option though, IMHO.

I don't think it's a good idea for Hillary to ask someone who is a senator from a state with a republican governor like Elizabeth and Massachusetts for the vice presidency. I would prefer someone who used to be a governor like tim kaine to be the vp pick. It would make her ticket stronger. Anyway, that's my one cent. I just don't want Democrats to lose more people in Congress. It's imperative to have many democrats in congress if Hillary wants to get something accomplished.

Such a movement is happening in the GOP too, as we have seen with the rise of the Tea Party. Sanders supporters will have to take action in a similar manner if they want a more left-leaning Democratic Party and country. They will need to move on from BernieOrBust infantile posturing and elect more socialist candidates in the House. If there is a genuine political movement or 'revolution' then this will be reflected in mid-terms. If they succeed in electing more left-leaning socialist candidates then like The Tea Party did with the GOP, they can form a block that influences policy at Party level.

Strangely enough, US politics is already incredibly polarised and partisan, and I can only see this increasing as the Democrats move more to the left and the GOP more to the right over the next decade.

If the BernieBros just abstain from the political process because Bernie lost then Sanders' chance of implmenting a more socialist America as his legacy will be gone.

She's pretty much done either way and a lot of democrats in congress are apparently okay with her being removed as a concession for Sanders.

When it comes to Warren's seat in the senate, a special election would be held eventually. And there are ways that she could still hold on to her seat longer even as a vice president elect from what I read earlier.

Not really. The one thing we certainly know from this election cycle, Trump plays his own game and everyone else has to fall in line. See: Paul Ryan condemning Trump for the comment but then in the same speech backs him harder and calls for unity against Hillary (http://nytimes.com/2016/06/08/us/pol...lo-curiel.html). Trump to date hasn't taken back a single thing and never had to because the GOP feels forced to back him or else Hillary wins.

I think the rumor is is that if she runs, Joe Kennedy will run in her place at the Senate.

Problem with Tim Kaine: Although he has a Dem governor, the governor is undergoing an FBI investigation AND Virginia is not an easy hold for Dems in a special election.

Massachusetts is different. The Dems have found a way to bypass a GOP appointment, and a special election will always lean Democratic. Much easier to hold on to a possible majority. Plus Warren has high approvals and Joe Kennedy would be a strong candidate.

Normally I don't believe in the claim that the media likes to put out "false" poll numbers to create a narrative but now I kind of see it with making Trump seem like such a strong contender. I just don't understand how someone who has alienated literally every minority group in some way, shape, or form is going to win the general election. Minority groups have been the tipping point of recent elections.

It's true that Trump has black, Hispanic, LGBTQ+, and female supporters but they likely make up such an insignificant part of their demographic groups. I feel kind of chill about this election. The media just needs to make it more exciting since Hillary has such a huge probability of winning.

VA has been light blue in terms of state executives for a while now (besides Bob who has pretty much ruined the GOP party at the state executive level) and it's not changing anytime soon.

And no one is really connects MacAuliffe and Kaine (connecting him to Warner is more likely).

Actor Mark Ruffalo, who has been a prominent supporter of the Vermont senator, tweeted congratulations to Clinton and her supporters on Wednesday and said it was time to focus on pushing for progressive values.

Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva, also told The Washington Post that it was time to accept Sanders would not be the nominee.

People will come around, just give them the time to grieve and for Sanders and Clinton to work something out to appease both sides of this election that were hurt.
