I think Dawn has done something interesting and possibly detrimental (in the long run) though.

Some people love GoldenHeart (R&B), some people love BlackHeart (Electronic), and some are loving the RED era (EDM/crossover). They are three very different genres, and she did this on purpose.

But I'm seeing people like ONE of these eras, but hate the others.

I like all three...but more partial to the newer sound (and BH). But I thought GH was just OK.

And the reality is that the general public like consistency, and don't like for things to be switched up so much. So the three different genre thing is tripping some folks up.

Those were just tracks for the fans. She's always said RED was going to be more crossover, and uptempo.

The last two tracks were done by the same producer (Machinedrum)...so that's probably why.

But she confirmed Noisecastle III (person who did BH) and Machinedrum are the two main producers on the album. So maybe you'll like half of it

I also think her not having immediate visuals for "Not Above That" and "Wake Up" is not helping either.

Dawn's music is best "swallowed" with a visual. Like "Blow"...I DOUBT I would have liked that, if the video didn't come out at the same time. I would have been like WTF is this... It's easier to digest with a visual.

And I can tell by this performance...choreography for NAT and WU videos are going to be killer.

One reason why I think folks were much more receptive to "Dance", but think NAT and WU are so-so or not as good.

I liked Baptize a little better imo

Can't WAIT for the Wake Up video!! Did she ever shoot a video for Not Above That? I thought she said she was but we never heard anything else about it.
