Yes, both my mom and dad occasionally when I do something they think I shouldn't been doing. The outcome wasn't completely bad, I end up just fine but more responsible. Unless your parents physically hurts you for no valid reason at all, then that's absolutely "domestic abuse."

Also, don't hit back to your parents if they scold or correct your wrongs, that is NOT respectful at all, it's just another way of showing their love and that they care too much for you that they want you to grow up with responsibility in you :-).

I would never hit a child or spank them. I think it's wrong. There's other ways you can teach a child to not do wrong things
