Well Loose was many moons ago and I'm sure any coins are welcomed coins.

Any artist not happy with Spotify profits is just plain greedy. Put your art for people to hear and get paid for it. Sounds good to me. Most of them get WAAAY more than a regular person working 9 to 5.

My thoughts exactly, this girl hasn't even been around in the streaming era to know what is artist friendly or not. Her $100 monthly cheque from spotify is very welcomed

But why should they earn like someone who works 9-5 when they don't work 9-5? Just because most people earn average doesn't mean everyone else has to ,especially when they have millions of fans compared to an average person.

Really when you consider the potential that an artist would've made from 1m people streaming their album vs when 1m buy their album, its not worth it

She's so humble and adapting to change in the industry. I love it.

Ok but the revenue per stream on the free tier is almost non-existent. So, not really sure what services she's comparing Spotify too, since it is the least artist friendly one out of the major two plus the irrelevant third.

maybe it's more artist friendly than the other streaming services? either way no matter what happens major label artists and those that don't write/produce all of their songs entirely are going to lose out big time from here on out

she's right. Spotify is compensating quite well, but greedy music labels don't share the money with artists (actually there was a huge thread about this here on atrl some time ago)
