Will I seem out of place if I attend an open day alone? Should I take a friend or parent with me?

When I went to open days there were lots of people by themselves, you won't look out of place.

I went on my own and it was fine.

I went alone, talked to some people and made some friends. I think it's better to go alone, you'll meet more new people that way

Take a parent if you want, friends are for o-week

If you really want to go with somebody take a friend, definitely not a parent.

College/uni life is way different. People don't care about doing things by themselves or being independent. It's not like high school with all the cliques.

I think most people bring parents only for the first few activities, then they split them between student and parent activities. At my orientation there were definitely students alone though, they just talked to other groups and stuck with them. I'm personally less comfortable around my parents in situations like that so I prefer that.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of other people alone. At my new college they have an entire week for orientation which is stressing me tf out
