Hillary Clinton drops out in 2008, will Bernie follow suit?
This had to have been hard for Hillary to do, but it is a truly remarkable speech that put Hillary's supporters behind President Obama. Will Bernie do the same, or will he refuse to endorse her?
Bernie better if he knows what is best for the United States but given how he isn't a real Democrat, I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps throwing a tantrum.
The situation is completely different and is not comparable in 2016. Obama had a very clear lead in pledged delegates, whereas right now her lead is only approximately 300-something.
Her polling has trended downward since her campaign began, while Bernie's (and unfortunately Donald's) only increases with time. If she's the general election nominee, she won't be able to defeat Donald as +40% of voters are Independent and they really refuse to vote for an establishment candidate this time around.
The FBI investigation is also quite serious and it would be folly to nominate her with this going on, especially if they recommend indictment. The security breach she presented was vastly worse than what Snowden did (and even then he did it in public interest). There has never and can never be a general election nominee with an FBI indictment looming overhead.
I say this as a former Clinton supporter, and obviously I would absolutely love a woman to be POTUS. It's overdue. It's just not Hillary.
