Probably that it's gonna be a remaster of the "Zodiac System" version of the game, which was Japan-only IIRC.

FFXII had two versions. The original and the Zodiac International Version which was Japan only. According to fans who played the latter version, it is infinitely better than the original version. So my guess the HD remaster is based on the Zodiac version.

FF12 is one of my favorite in the series and even I still felt gipped after playing the International Version. It's sooo much better.
