Channing Tatum can't act. He was an awful choice for Gambit from the start. Gambit isn't like Iceman or Havok or a Magic Mike stripper, where any actor can play these characters and sleepwalk through the role and no one would be able to notice. You have to be a legitimately good actor to play a character like Gambit, especially with the distinctive accent that the character has. Not to mention, Gambit is svelte and mysterious. Channing Tatum is bulky—the jock type. Glad he's out.

The first thought in my head was well this for the best. Channing is not a good actor so I don't see why people would give him challenging roles. He's meant to be seen not heard. Keep his lines in limited capacity.
