Don't extrapolate your isolated experience to people across the board. It sucks that you had a tought time but don't make generalizations.

OP, there are mean people in high school, but there are mean people everywhere. So you shouldn't run away by going to an alt school. That's not how you should deal with life, but that's just my opinion. Everyone is different.

I just wanted an simple answer. So I asked a question. Are they really like that? Can they be?

I don't think so, a lot of humans get a kick out of judging nearly everyone.

With how cruel and biased we are to almost everyone, it seems like we're all in a minority of just being secluded to others opinions and criticisms. It's not just a subject of sexuality, gender, or race. It's humans segregating and basing one another off points of unfair criticisms.

I'm unsure if it's equally distributed or not. Minorities do get it a LOT worse, but that comes down to the human condition simply having a cruel desire to neglect and mistreat those seemingly inferior to them. It comes down to re-education of the perception of others.

Sad how we must train people to be non-judgemental.

Well, I am moving into alt. school because its a smaller environment, its only 4 hours (if you have a job in which I do), and I actually need teachers that WATCH me, because I attempted suicide like...? 5 times and self-harmed 3 times at school? (I forgot)

I really think its a better place for me and also, I am already at risk of officially dropping out of high school due to my flopping grades. Maybe I won't run into those aggressively offensive jocks.

Your question doesn't make sense. Why would people on this forum know what "straight teenage boys" act like? Why would you think all straight teenage boys act the same?

idk at my secondary school there weren't really ppl like that but in america this type of situation seems more common. i hope you find a environment that treats you well though.

I already did, but ever since those happened they really don't want me to come back, even for my own good and I fortunately I've been getting help. I'm even trying alternative school, what else I'm I supposed to do? I've been this way since 2009 and I'm only 17.

EDIT: Even the Principal and VP called me into the office and checked up on me all the time. They really don't want me to be ther.e
