I didn't know who she was or why her album was selling so well when Taylor Swift came out, and honestly I still didn't quite get it when Fearless came out--all I knew was that people gushed over this young girl who could actually write music. But then she became larger than life after the VMAs and by then I had already heard "Love Story" routinely on the radio; her fame and success reached a fever pitch in late '09. The girl breaks records. Her fanbase has sustained and grown at a rapid pace. I don't see this juggernaut stopping anytime soon... she is the Beyonce of country-pop.

Exactly--to make that more clear, a "vocal" Grammy refers to a category that includes any song that actually has vocals on it. They're not judging the vocal talent, they're still judging the song itself.

I love her but yeah it will be kinda weird to see her singing about princess and fairytales at 21. Not even Miley, nor Selena and Demi(who are actually teenagers) sing about those kinda stuff.
