Selena has DOUBLE the amount of followers on Instagram, I would assume more liked by the gp due to her ability to present herself as more relatable/pure/innocent and probably is higher in a lot of other aspects.

Those are more significant then album sales nowadays? What's the point of having 80 million flowers when barley 100k of them will buy your album when you're a signer? It doesn't mean anything. Madonna has like 1 million followers. Does that mean Selena has the bigger career than her?

And who even cares. Miley could have way more followers if she got glamed up all the time and posted selfies too. She just chooses not to, and I think she's doing fine with her 45 million followers.

And besides, anyone can have a lot of followers nowadays. Viners and instagram models have like 5 million each and it doesn't equate to anything.

Well in that case I would say that Miley is above Selena in terms of relevancy and popularity considering there's more to popularity than social media following. Miley has more popularity social media wise through her philanthropic efforts with the LGBT and homeless youth aka her Happy Hippie Foundation than Selena has and her 70+ million Instagram followers since she's widely known for her fabulous selfies influencing more of the 16-18 demographic than the regular gp. As for talent... I would say Miley excels supremely in that field, though Selena is very marketable...

That may be the case in the U.S but outside who knows. The only time I've heard of her foundation was with her duet with ariana but otherwise???? Yes i would agree vocally miley is superior however I only stated 'i think selena and miley are on par with each other'. This was my opinion and I don't even follow them however in my country Selena has the upper hand - more marketable and likable. I'm not going to waste my time on debating the ranks of tweens of pop because honestly who gives a ****.
