We get weak in the knees when we hear a British accent—any British accent. But its a big kingdom with lots of dialects—which is the sexiest?
YouGov investigated last month and, according to the site’s research, a Scottish accent is the most attractive—garnering 20% of the vote. Coming in second is “received pronunciation”—what you hear from BBC newscasters and the like, followed by the Welsh accent.

Scottish: 20%
Received Pronunciation 18%
Welsh: 11%
West Country (Bristol, Gloucestershire): 10%
Northern Ireland: 8%
