I'm just gonna play devil's advocate here, but you wouldn't be able to see the moon at all if not for the sunlight reflecting off of it. Take away its light source, and the moon disappears, engulfed by the darkness of space.

If we want to get technical and split hairs, its description on the website says it absorbs light... which means it wouldn't reflect it... which means we wouldn't see it... which would mean it's in darkness. The logic in the Pokemon world does not equate to the logic in real life. This is why you all shouldn't try to get extremely technical because it's a game that bends the laws of nature.

Yeah, so it's probably just going to be the opposite gender character as your main rival like in Gen 6.

In the trailer from May, in the Japanese one, it showed the boy in a classroom and on the wall behind him, there was a poster of 8 people - but you could only see their feet - and below them were 4 names - Caitlin, Hoku, Ed and Pablo. And in BW or BW2 (idek) Caitlin apparently said something like "I've been a Battle Castle leader, been an elite four member. Will I be champion somewhere next?" so there's a lot of speculation on that.
