this is all he said she said kind of tea... "established music insider", "music personal", "bloggers" they all live from this "feud"... All Mariah has ever said is that she doesn't personaly know Jennifer, that she is a singer and a songwriter and that Jennifer does something else, and that is the case, Jennifer doesn't write her own songs and at the time Jennifer was known as an actress, she was just having her musical breakthrou, like not even once did she ever attack Jennifer directly, so how is Mariah bitter again? It's the press people who keep on asking about this feud, and they both keep on answering those questions, saying Jennifer doesn't care about this feud is just ridiculous, in some of those interviews it looks like it's all she have to talk about, while in fact she is a very active entertainer.
tbh I wish Mariah would just go and see Jennifers residency or whatever and so they could just meet up, take a picture and just leave separate ways

So True... I think that Mariah takes it more like a joke now.... It's not as serious as it was back then but some bitterness is always there. I guess she associated her commercial decline with the rise of Jennifer Lopez. I would too also cause Tommy Mottola (then president of Sony) was so evil and Cyndi Lauper & Michael Jackson have confirmed that. The only part that I don't know as a fact is a rumor that Jennifer Lopez was having sex with Mottola so that he boosts her debut in a more passionate way. Well even if that's after Mariah's divorce with him still complicates things even more. But lets go to the facts. Tommy orchestrated alot of things here..... Mariah in 1998 recorded 2 covers. "I still Believe" and "Do You Know Where You Going To" . Tommy had JLo record both I Still Believe & Do You Know Where You're Going To in 1998. I Still Believe was included on her On the 6 demo. Some years ago that demo resurfaced. Later on while Mariah was working on 2 projects which Mottola knew about he rush released the concepts for J Lo . The first one was the "I'm real" sample which was supposed to be in "loverboy". Tommy rush released J Lo's song so Mariah was forced to change the whole song. If you notice in the loverboy remix Da brat is rapping accusing and cursing Jennifer Lopez but she doesn't mention her name. Everyone knew who were the lyrics targeting though. Tommy though did another low blow to Mariah with Jennifer as his pawn. Mariah collaborated with Ja rule for "if We". Tommy took the same producers almost the same melody and Ja rule himself for the remix of "I'm real" and ofc rush released it even though the Mariah recording was before that. So 2 backstabbings back to back. Tommy didn't stop in the recording area though. He was a powerful man. He was paying press and music journalists to trash talk Mariah and praise Jennifer Lopez. Mariah knew about all these. She took some revenge though cause when J Lo fired her manager Benny Medina in 2004 Mariah hired him ASAP and made a huge comeback while J lo flopped harder than ever at the same period. Also I don't think that Mariah would go as a judge in American Idol if it wasn't for the pleasure to replace Jennifer Lopez and ask for more money and actually achieve it. But the ratings didn't improve and the production wanted J Lo back for the next season. Imagine Mariah's reaction. Priceless!

Casse in point, when does Jlo know anything ever. And, why is that still an excuse every time controversy comes at her.

Christina Milian was credited as a songwriter and background vocalist in "Play". Ashanti was credited as a background vocalist in both "I'm Real" (Murder Remix) & "Ain't It Funny (Murder Remix)" and a songwriter in the latter. She was still relatively unknown, and both singers agreed to it then. Christina still praises Jen even today.

Jennifer never said that Irv made her say the "n-word". She said that Ja Rule wrote the lyrics. Which he also agreed and expressed countless times. He also said that he believes that she got so much flack because she was a Hollywood darling.
