Of course she doesn't need them. Her album is successful, it's passing 1 million sales with Lemonade in the US this week, her tour has had a 100% attendance and over $61 million in tour gross so far. I'd say she doesn't need those number ones when she's successful in every other department

That's such a shortsighted way of thinking. Musicians are more than just their hits. She's still a successful artist despite not being #1 on the Hot100.

People arguing about this. The fact is she doesn't need hits and doesn't care to have ones. People still know her, adore her, buy her albums, buy her tickets. Basically just look back to your faves, people. Can they be like her? Will people still buy their albums, still buy their tickets even if they can't have hits anymore?

Makes no sense. So a painter doesn't need to sell their art? A plumber can just stand by your toilet instead of fixing it and will be hired again? She's fading from the GP's attention more and more with each album and can't expect to keep her popularity without at least one radio hit per era.
