Is it time to remove sales from the Hot 100/Billboard 200?
Considering sales keep dropping massively year to year and Drake keeps holding on to #1 while barely even selling, is it time to accept that people don't buy music anymore?
Also, should radio also be removed from the Hot 100 so it becomes a streaming-only chart?
Cut radio (which is 90% payola and programmed playlists, anyways). I'll never truly understand why it holds so much importance. Adjust sales and streaming accordingly.
I don't get why people always try to shade radio and say it's weighed to much . But no you can't eliminate sales yet . I mean Drake just did 800k and Adele did 3 million so albums still do sale
I used to support a 40-40-20 formula, which was 40% sales, 40% streaming, 20% radio. but I think it should be sales > streaming >>>>>>>>> radio. radio STILL has payola so there's no point in giving it much impact.
