You do realize that this supports his point, right? On GoT when there is female nudity no one really seems to care (other than prudish conservatives but they don't watch the show anyway) but when there is male nudity (which is rarer, as you said) GoT gets accused of promulgating a political agenda through objectification

Didn't pretty much all the female actresses in GoT have it outlined in their contracts they had to get nude, in the first season I think it was?

The fact that he even labels it a "double standard" is absolutely ridiculous. It's not like the gratuitous amounts of female objectification has become so vilified as to be non-existent. And like bye.

And secondly, objectification is always tied into a power dynamic. It isn't just "people only care about me for my body" which sucks, but okay. Objectification is "people only care about my body to the point where I'm robbed of my agency and exploited." That's why men don't face objectification. Their sexuality is about power and virility. Males become what male-attracted people want to f**k and what male-embodying people want to become. It's male power fantasy.

Whereas women are not seen that way. They are seen as simply being only valued as a sexual object. Their liberated sexual ideas are seen as deviant.

It's why Hollywood will still allow ugly a** men to f**k beautiful women but not the other way around. For him to even make this claim is a testament to how clueless he is tbh.
