I mean it didn't look like it was rampaging or anything. Queen Jane obviously knows what's up so I'd value her opinion more then anyone. Neither the Gorilla's or child's life should have been taken.

It's sad, and yes he was protecting him. But in that moment, you have to take it out.
Nobody knows an animal's true instinct. A young boy's life was saved, and we should all rest well knowing he's safe. Had they not took it out and the boy was injured or killed then that would've been a whole other mess.
