I wonder if this would have gotten as much media attention or they would dig up the fathers cirminal history if the child was white. Most likely not. I blamed the parents too before I knew they were black I actually thought they were white but this is going so viral and they are getting crucified because the family is black lbr. The gorilla is endangered. By killing it they are putting an entire species one step closer to extinction. It is a serious issue and shouldn't be taken lightly.

So? A species going extinct won't cause any extra suffering. We should aim to reduce overall suffering in animals. Why do people act like because an animal is "majestic" or "rare" its life is worth anymore/deserves to suffer less? It was shot dead quickly, suffered very little and people are complaining whilst eating the meat of factory far raised animals that have never seen daylight or stepped in grass...i can't (not saying this is you).
