No use going on for pages and pages about it. But I will say that the "Selena released when there was no competition!" argument is kind of funny when Selena released in Q4, a time when you are more likely to get blocked. Selena just got lucky that no big artists decided to release around the same time she did while Ariana got unlucky. A Q2 release would definitely normally be the safer strategy, though.
