If you're that worried, tell them now, and if they don't react well, then drop them and move on. If they do react well, then all the better.

Just go, try to avoid looking at the D's, and if you are questioned about being gay, just be honest. As long as you don't have homophobic friends, it shouldn't be a problem

Jokes aside, how long is this trip? I think if you are spending money to go on a trip, it might cause unnecessary Drama and lessen how "exciting" the trip is because it will be on everyone's minds, yourself included. Maybe tell them afterwards? Or just don't go to the hot spring. OR you could shrug it away after you tell them with a quick joke. The whole "I have standards" thing usually works.
