If Ariana could pull over 120k pure sales (while pulling about 170k with her previous record), I think Gaga could with ease top 200k pure sales in first week, 150k at worst.

How many of you think that Gags will surprise release the lead single/album?
I'd love it if she tweets about the lead single a day before it's release (however,the album need a little hype and promotion)

i'm hoping for 300k+ first weeks sales(without streaming).Even if LG5 debuts with less sales,i'm sure it'll sell more in the long run.I mean just look at the amount of acclaimed people she's been working with for this album.The music will be top notch,there's no doubt.

I came in wanting to say this.
If Ariana can do 120 Gaga should be able to do at least double of that. A nice, respectable number.

Anything over 200k is respectable giving the actual circumstances.
Something around 150k would be mediocre for her and anything lower than that would be simply disappointing.

If ARTPOP managed to triple its initial sales by the end of its chart run giving the fact that the era was completely dead 2-3 months after its release, I hope L5 can at least pull over 800k in the long run. Over 1M would be absolutely perfect.

I'm sure Gaga would never surprise-release any of her records.
She already said it multiple times how she doesn't like to put out her work all at once and I understand and also appreciate her for that.

We didn't wait 3 damn years for her to just drop the album over night, scrap any promo schedule or TV appearance and go on tour the next day.

The interviews, the TV appearances, the awards, the single countdowns and promo single releases are the things that make the era interesting.

Yea, everybody can agree that she kept it really quiet with this record, but up until July 2013 and starting from Feb the same year when she broke her hip, she went on a complete media blackout. We didn't know how the process is going, when to expect the new record or any of that because it all seemed to stall at that point.
Then she dropped the press release and everything was back on track again, without any further announcements or anything.

I'm absolutely sure she'll do the same this time. Just simply announce everything at once and drop it with a big press release. Maybe even televised this time?
