Also, let's not, when I was 14 my female friend was able to fully cover bruises from a fight with a fluid that costed less that 5$ That was 7 yrs ago. My point is - even if she showed fully her face and you wouldn't see bruises, it still wouldn't prove a single thing. With today's make-up you can look like a different person, not only cover bruises.

I see same usernames showing through threads about crimes/wrongdoings against women always claiming that women are lying, bashing women/dragging through the mud when they want justice for crimes commited by men against them just to say in another thread that if a man commited a crime against women then women could report it to the police I cannot understand such hatered against women.

You don't think being trapped in an abusive relationship for a long time & then suddenly faced with the police would provide a dilemma? She was obviously not sure about reporting it to the police, otherwise she would have. People who are saying what you are saying have an incredibly narrow understanding of the difference between a victim of domestic violence and a victim of another type of violent attack.

People calling any woman (or man) a liar when they bring forward serious claims like this ought to be ashamed of themselves. These people are the reason "real" victims feel unable to speak out about the abuse they are facing.

She probably did not talk about his (alleged) violent behavior before because she was afraid. Most victims of domestic abuse stay in the relationship because they think that the abuse was just a one-time thing, will never happen again, or that it was their fault and for some reason deserved to be beaten. So yeah it makes totally sense for her not to come forward sooner. Probably she wasn't ready yet.
