I think their main goal with the album was supposed to be turning the casual buyers of Worth It and WFH into album buyers.
Although it's true that people don't give two ***** about charts, it is also true that album sales are the demonstration of the GP's perception of the artist - people would spend a certain amount of money on artists they like. I understand that it's a too simplistic way to put down this thought and it doesn't include many factors, but it is what it is.
Also, it's not like they're doing 10k. Nowadays, 75k can be considered as an average debut.
People will come here and hate on them, but it doesn't take away anything to the album quality. As I previously said, they're lacking stocks. And I can see them reaching 80k when it's all said and done.
Flex will be a hit and TMG too, that should be enough to get to 200k (I hope) and getting a Gold certification.
Now I just hope some of y'all won't call it a quit with the album just because of a number that, whethere you like it or not, means little to nothing compared to enjoying a record.
Ugh, the sales are tragic. I just bought another copy off of iTunes. I honestly don't understand. I knew the numbers wouldn't be huge but I though they'd be bigger than Reflection.
I hope this doesn't stop Epic from getting All In My Head (flex) to smash and releasing That's My Girl as third single.
I just got of work and noticed troubling something.
I work part-time at Wal-mart and I work in the electronic section. When I was at work today I looked at all the new albums because I don't work Fridays. We had about 30 of the Derik country guy that came out on friday. We have sold about four of it and his section on the new release is full. I went to look for Fifth Harmony's and found that we don't sell it AT ALL. 7/27 wasn't in the new release section and it wasn't in the F category. The only thing Fifth Harmony in our store are two copies of Reflection. We had Ariana's Derick's and Blakes new albums but no 5H
I now wonder how many Wal-marts were given 7/27 in their stores.
Not That Kinda Girl is phenomenal. How is it so disliked, like are we hearing the same thing? The melodies are infectious and the parts with harmonies are some of the highlights of the album.
