Well I am a woman but sometimes I like to prove people wrong. At my job, I was carrying boxes by myself and they always try to say "That's heavy, let a man do it!" But I ignore and keep carrying. I'm not dependent on men at all. My mom taught me to learn to do anything for myself.
Not by older men. I wouldn't want him doing everything for me and I probably wouldn't take it as being treated like a girl. If it was strictly some kind of role play thing, I'd be ok with it.

As long as he doesn't actually think of me as a woman. Courting someone and showing some etiquette shouldn't be seen as a gender-exclusive thing. He should be doing it because we're together, not because that's "how you treat a woman."
