I always get a kii at middle class people RUNNING to defend their corporate overlords.
Will a higher minimum wage result in higher costs and unemployment? Yes. Will the higher costs entirely negate the impact of the wage increase? NO. As Americans usually forget,
other countries exist with more than functional economies that have MUCH higher minimum wages with only marginally to moderately higher prices. Employers in a competitive industry will not be able to recoup their money just by firing people and raising prices. They will be forced to cut into their profit margin which is the goal.
Also, the $15 minimum wage thing isn't just for the hell of it. The minimum wage has not at all kept up with the cost of living or worker productivity. You think someone can live on $7.25/hr?

And burger flipping is sometimes the only job available, or it's the only job someone may be able to do because they didn't have any opportunities for higher education or networking.
But "drag" I guess.
