Dr Muhannad Al Zabn, who has a Jordanian father and a Saudi mother, delivered the baby one month ago at the King Fahad Medical City in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
According to media reports, the father went to the hospital and told the doctor he wanted to see him to thank him for helping his wife with the delivery of the baby, Saudi news site Sabq reported on Thursday.
The two met in the garden of the hospital and during the conversation, the shooter took out a gun he had concealed under his clothes and fired at the doctor.
As the Saudi father fled the scene, medics rushed the victim to the emergency department then to the intensive care unit. The shooter was later arrested by the police.

He attempted murder meaning he's either gonna get the death penalty or he'll be imprisoned for 10 years at the least so it's hardly 'a bit'.
The only way he could go back to his wife and new-born child is if the doctor drops the charges which I'm conflicted about. As much as I want him to be punished so that there'll be less bigots on the streets I fear for the sake of that child growing up without a father...

Thankfully, the doctor is alive and is expected to get back to work in no time according to the hospital.
How can they have female OB-Gynecologists when yall patriarchal society doesn't allow women to push themselves to becoming one?
There might be a story behind this but right now, the biggest culprit is women being caged by their fathers and husbands to a life of servitude for the men in their lives.
