People lie and say religion is responsible for their hatred of other human beings...when really its just them being hateful people. Secondly it allows people the freedom to think for themselves about how they want to be treated by others.
Maybe the world would be better. maybe it wouldn't be better. No one knows. The least highly religious democracies seem to have the least amount of problems with doing the right things for their people.
