This will work for some chain restaurants but not all. There will be backlash and there will be large numbers of potential consumers boycotting establishments that do this, especially those who worked in the food industry before getting their careers started.

It'll be pointless. We are moving towards an automated economy. It has been shown robots are cheaper and more efficient than humans will ever be. Which is why driverless cars are gaining steam, along with automated doctors and lawyers (yes robots will soon replace them too).

Countries like Canada and a few others are implementing universal income in some places. Soon we'll have this income as humans will now have jobs that can't be replaced by robots.

I am actually questioning people in this thread. Like you really want robots taking over our world slowly. I've said this from the get go. The day that robots take someone else's job I will kill myself (no I'm not talking about factory work etc

Okay if this is the future, and jobs will be one less and less. I don't know which jobs will fade out or not. What kind of schooling should I do that will guarantee a job in let's say 200 years from now?

idk about where you live but I don't remember the last time there wasn't an error in my McDonalds order. And from what I've seen the people that work there aren't the brightest/most ambitious people

well most the McDonalds staff are ridiculously dumb so I can see why the robots do better. Also so many customers are dumb too, standing in line then not having a clue what they want to order.

Bring on the robots

Every family should have their own worker robot that is responsible for earning for the family. That way people could use their own time to make careers out of their hobbies and passion, if they choose to, for a better life. Of course only those who could afford a robot would be able to have one This would create world peace I just know it

This is my biggest fear with drastically increasing the minimum wage. I do think it should be raised, but too much too fast would open up this threat more easily. And as someone who has implemented AI before, this wouldn't be hard to implement and would make large savings overall. Companies could easily get away with this.

I think this is the way of the future, but we need to be able to find new forms of work for people that will eventually be laid off, unfortunately. I'm not a fan of robots serving me food. I enjoy the human interaction, but I think this is inevitable. After the assembly line became standard, we automated it. I'm sure we'll do the same for many branches of work.
