Srs question because it seems as if they can never win on here.
First of all Sam Smith gets a lot of hate on here and people say he is bland and straight-pandering because he uses gender-neutral pronouns and doesn't sing about his sexuality. So they say he isn't a good representative of the gay community.
But then you have someone like Troye Sivan who is openly gay, kisses guys in his videos and uses male pronouns sometimes but people say his dancing is "too gay", he's a "basic twink" etc. Plus you have someone like Adam Lambert who kissed a guy on stage and effectively ended his career but he gets no respect on here either.
I'm confused, what are y'all bitter Queens wanting ?
There's only like those three that you mentioned that are mainstream I guess What, just because I'm gay I have to like them? No.
I think Troy's music is boring, Sam's voice irritates me, and Adam's music is just not my tea. I don't get the mentality that "Oh this person is 'X' just like you so you must like them"
This is very true. Same applies to Olly (from Years & Years)
People don't use Adam Lambert that much because well... I actually don't even know. He makes flawless music and has a great personality but yeah, I don't know. A lot of people don''t like Sam because they find him annoying and a bit extra (personality wise).

You don't have to like them, but you don't have to hate them either. (not saying you hate them)

No, of course you don't need to like someone just because of their sexuality. I just found it quite funny how the three most mainstream gay artists get quite a bit of criticism on here and the criticism for each usually contradicts one another, that's all.
That's fair enough, you can like whatever music you like.
