If it means lower risk of contractable diseases from non-hygienic food servers, cheaper food, less human errors and R2D2 serving me then let the robots take over.

ehhh if it helps people provide for their familys then i dont mind the very few human errors. the food is already cheap, it aint that big of a deal.

The maintenance and software updates alone. What if people change their orders? So many things can go wrong with robots cooking food.

Well yeah? Why would you want a human when a robot could work at a 100% success rate, would be cheaper, and can work round the clock?

Plus they'll be cleaner. No more hair or saliva in food, or other disgusting things you often hear about from fast food workers.

This is gonna happen to many professions. Such as delivery workers, taxi drivers, and so on. That's why countries will pass a base salary to its citizens.

I wonder what poverty will look like in the very near future...

Be eradicated because the entire existance of poverty is a result of it costing money to acquire things such as food. Once low skill industries become automated there will be an incredible increase in free cash flow as comapanies and the government will be saving ALOT of money. Thus the government can then fund programs fully eradicating poverty because robots will be able to work in these areas of basic care.


Edit: lol you said near, but anyways it won't rapidly increase it because "entry level jobs" will just take new more STEM related forms. As jobs close new jobs open.

I guess it's a cute idea. But the thing is if the wage were higher, employees would want to work. That's what these companies do wrong. They pay nothing so they get the worst employees.
