Selena Gomez is photographed in the arms of Louis Vuitton Fashion Director Nicolas Ghesquière in the new issue of Vogue Brazil. She replaced Kristen Stewart as his muse last year after a chance meeting at Paris Fashion Week.
Ghesquière was instrumental in helping to save Stewart’s career after her 2012 cheating scandal with “Show White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders.
Ghesquière tapped the “Twilight” star to rep for Balenciaga the same year. It was her first big fashion gig. He stood by her after the scandal broke and reaffirmed the label’s support after rumors circulated that she was being fired.
Ghesquière met Gomez after the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week in 2014. Not long afterward, he asked her to become a “friend of the house.”
That’s the name “the brand calls the personalities who often wear creations signed by Nicolas on red carpets,” according to the magazine. “My relationship with Nicolas and Louis Vuitton happened very organically. The fashion world was new to me, and he was kind and gave me great support. Today I consider a friend,” Gomez told Vogue writer Isabel Junqueira. “Before I thought that a beautiful dress was just a beautiful dress, had no idea of the amount of detail and the labor involved,” she added.
For the magazine she poses for veteran fashion photographer Bruce Weber in his first collaboration with the magazine. It’s the singer’s first appearance on a Vogue cover.
She's young but adventurous, spontaneous, and effortlessly sexy that has sex appeal....Something few girls lack and wont be as big as Selena that's why they stay booking teen Vogue.
