The fact that r&b basically died in 2008 hindered her career and is the reason, along with label issues, that she's not in the top tier. It's not like it's her fault so she shouldn't be mocked for it. This is MTV's fault for not having a specific policy in place for social media commentary on the official handle. They've posted tons of messy tweets in the past. Just because Ciara got offended shouldn't be grounds to get that person in trouble, especially since this type of behavior has been encouraged and accepted in the past.
