I like to be able to finish something all in one sitting (another reason I love Netflix series), so I guess movies, since there's no interruptions; however, I watch TV shows more.
i'm usually more into TV shows because there is much more happening, there is suspense and loads of character development. You just get so much more out of it and I'm so invested in those characters; it's like their real.
Movies are hard to do right because there is only such a short amount of time to build characters and story and to actually make me care about any of them. Therefore it's important to me that movies are story-driven. I watched a movie yesterday and basically already almost forgot all the characters but the storyline itself was great and I think I'll take away a lot from it.
In general, I prefer watching TV shows because the episodes are short but a good story can be stretched out and consumed over a long period of time. It's hard for me to sit through an entire movie sometimes. Also, a TV show allows a story to leave a deeper impact.
Obviously, there are some movies that are beyond what a TV show could accomplish, and vice versa.
