LITERALLY doesn't care about awards. Awards hold little to no value to her, personally, or her brand. She's the type of celebrity that doesn't cry when getting an award, realizing that it means nothing and that it's just a chunk of medal. (Seriously, anyone who cries over receiving an award, from a KCA to an Oscar or Grammy, needs to re-evaluate their life. It's a ridiculous thing to cry over.) That's why MTV called her the most self-aware pop star. Her focus has always been on what's important: her kids, her family, and her career, not silly awards. She came to the BBMAs to perform, promote her Vegas show, and leave. Mission accomplished.
