The Silence is just too bland for my tastes. Even production-wise it doesn't sound particularly impressive. They would be foolish to release this as her first single in the US cause it lacks the punch of Bad Boys and Broken Heels and does not catch the ear as easily.

Exactly my sentiments here. The Silence is way too overhyped. Oh well, curiosity kills, you know! I would love Dumb as a single. For some odd reason, that song sounds like the NSYNC would do.

Dumb is possibly the best track on Overcome.

there is no right or wrong when it comes to music. I personally do think its the best ballad of the decade (well since 2000) but thats just my opinion, i'm not right or wrong. so stop arguing cos none of you are right.

she's recording new music for the american version of overcome anyway so its possible non of them will be lead.
she's said she wants overocme as a single eventually as well. wont have the success of the singles so far but i love it

Maybe some new track instead.

Dumb is exactly like that dumb. They can keep that **** on the album.

The Silence is an amazing ballad and definitely one of the best I've heard in a long time. I got chills the first time I heard it and thats rare. Her vocals are phenomenal. Great choice after I saw her perform it as equally well as the recording.

US will get a brand new track which will serve as the re-release single in the UK. I'm hoping for songs more like Rihanna's Rated R. The dark edgy pop songs work well with her voice.
