Why do some people share basically their entire life story on social media and post even the most personal things. Does anyone else find this kind of strange?
Depends on the person i guess. Some people just like to put their opinions and feelings out there without necessarily caring if someone's gonna read it or not. It's sort of like a dear diary, or talking to someone... Monologue? Sure but it is what it is.
Well, its called social media for a reason lol
Thats the whole point. To show ppl how your day/life is going and see what others are up to. If you have 0 to post then don't get mad at those who do.
Well the people who refuse to share and are very secretive are scared of rejection.
I will take an over sharing attention seeker rather than an insufferable reculse. Like please get over yourself
I know right. It's like no one is forcing you to look or follow the "overshare". It seems like a waste of time being angry over it.
Maybe those people who are posting a lot have more of a life than those who don't. IDK. I generally have bigger fish to fry than to get up in arms about someone "oversharing".
Depends of what we're talking about. If we're talking "I'm going to take a poop" or "Here's my phone number call me" in public then yeah. But otherwise sharing is what you're suppose to do.
People that live miserable lives and need validation from friends and strangers. There has been a million studies on this, and it's also pretty obvious.
Lol at the 2 gays feeling attacked here and saying that if you don't share you are reclusive People with good lives don't need to share things on the internet get over it.

No one is angry I was just asking a question? And they clearly don't have a better life than most people if they're perched on social media 24/7.
I was meaning the type of people who fish for sympathy constantly and are like "Just visited the hospital today might be bad news" or "Feel so depressed need to get more medication" etc. Like go speak to someone and get help don't stay on social media spilling personal details.
