I'm sorry, Idris just does not read Bond to me at all. There are better actors more suited for the role I believer.

I'm still praying this is not true. I thought he was contractually obligated to do at least one or two more films, but he was able to buy himself out of the contract and was considering it. I know he made a few off-color comments about returning when promoting Spectre, but honestly, now that he's had the role, I can't see anyone else doing this. I'm going to be very disappointed if this is true. Although it shouldn't come as a surprise, especially because the last film ended in a way where they could continue it if they wanted to but end it if he decided he was done.

Only 1 film ever hit the billion mark and that was mainly due to the fact that there was such a long uncertain period about the future of the Bond series between QoS flopping and Skyfall coming out. There are also more cinemas opened and higher charge prices for tickets of all types (basic, 3D, IMAX, IMAX3D, Luxury suites, etc.) compared to when Pierce was Bond. its an overall rise for big budget franchises in today's market compared to 10/20 years ago overall, nothing to do with him.

the next Bond actor will get an even higher grossing movie than Skyfall and Daniel Craig will be remembered as a very mediocre Bond as time passes. Bookmark me.
