Uncharted 4: #1 in Japan - Highest sales ever for the series

Since its release in Japan last week, Uncharted 4 has managed to top the Japanese charts.
Selling 128,724 copies, Uncharted 4 has dethroned the admittedly excellent Kirby: Planet Robobot.
To give you a bit of context regarding these figures, the first Uncharted game only managed to pull down 16,494 sales in its first week in Japan. The second did far better with 54,193 copies sold and the third smashed it with 121,553 sales.
In comparison then, Uncharted 4 has had the strongest opening week in Japan for the franchise as a whole and that’s definitely great considering this is the final game in the series.
Generally speaking, this kind of opening week is a strong one in terms of the Japanese charts and while most Western games don’t have a habit of finding their feet here, the Uncharted series has been somewhat of an exception to that.
