Shounen Ai | Yaoi can't touch this
| OMAMORISHIMASU, DOKOMADEMO
Summary
Akira arrives in Tokyo from the countryside to start a new job but instead discovers that not only has his company disappeared but also his housing. Unemployed and homeless before he's even started life in the big city, life's looking pretty grim but maybe someone's looking out for him after all because who should text him at that moment but his childhood friend Chihiro. Providing a home, cooking meals, and even pocket money - just why is Chihiro doing so much for someone he hasn't seen since he was 10? Why does he consider Akira to be his best friend? And just who are those serious looking guys in suits? There just may be more excitement in the big city than Akira's ever dreamed possible.

Summary
In this country, every person has to be matched up with a partner. Partnerships are made around when you turn three or four. The doctors decide who gets paired together. One person acts as the 'supplier.' The other as the 'receiver.' It is impossible for a 'receiver' to continue to live without periodically being given power from the 'supplier.' And in the same way, it is imperative for a 'supplier' that a 'receiver' accept some of the power generated within their body. This 'power' can't be made anywhere other than inside a 'supplier's own body… So for the 'receivers,' we 'suppliers' are completely indispensable....

Summary
12-year-old Aoyagi Ritsuka is a troubled child. He has no memories of his life until the age of ten. His excitable mother physically and verbally abuses him, demanding that he return the "real" Ritsuka to her. For the past two years, his older brother Seimei had been his devoted friend and protector: the only one who accepted Ritsuka's "new" self and who could stop their mother from abusing Ritsuka.

Summary
In a city where the law has been rendered non-existent, Yuki and his best friend Tetsu break into the offices of the Seidoukai to steal in a desperate attempt to finance his ailing brother's hospital bills. They ultimately fail but instead spark the interest of the mob's young leader, Kazutaka Hyoudou, who offers Yuki a deal he can't refuse: pay him a visit at his office once a week and all hospital bills will be taken care of. | KYOU KARA MAOH
Summary
Yuri Shibuya was living a pretty normal life. That changed the day he was dunked into a toilet after an attempt to save a classmate from a gang of bullies. Instead of just getting a good soaking, he's pulled in. The next thing he knows, he's in a world that vaguely resembles medieval Europe. If that's not odd enough, he's told that he is to be the next Maoh, just because he has black hair and black eyes. The Maoh is the King of the Mazoku, who are coexisting not-so-peacefully with the humans in this world. Much to his subject's dismay, he's totally different from the rulers they're accustomed to. He's kind, considerate, a believer in justice, and not willing to use violence to solve conflicts. Not exactly someone they want running a country on the very brink of war. Now, Yuri has to deal with trying to become a good Maoh, while at the same time attempting to adapt to this land's customs and culture, all in a world where the tension between the humans and Mazoku is reaching its peak.
| | SEVEN DAYS
Summary
Bright and early one Monday morning, Shino Yuzuru asks Seryou Touji out on a lark when they run into each other at the school gate. Seryou, who's immensely popular, has the odd habit of going out with anyone who asks him out first at the beginning of the week, then promptly dumping them at the end of it. "Anyone" apparently includes male upperclassmen like Shino, and as a boyfriend, Seryou is perfect--unfailingly thoughtful and kind. Shino, obviously, has no intention of being in a serious relationship with Seryou. It's not like it's actually love or anything like that. ...Right?

Yes, but most of the people in the Anime/Manga thread only usually talk about Anime and not Manga and they usually don't talk about Shounen Ai so it makes me feel very left out. This is where the fundashi and fujoshi can talk about their love!
Please don't close the thread! don't be 2D homophobic mr bossman!
---
Some shounen ai will be added in rec's tomorrow hehe!

I really like Sadahiro Mika's works. My favourites from her are Mukizu ja Irarenee and Pathos. Hot guys, great scenes, couldn't ask for more.
I haven't read any of those recs. I'm gonna check those out when I have nothing else to do

This week's episode of Super Lovers was gross af. It made me so uncomfortable. I don't necessarily have a problem with the age gap (although those character designs make it a lot worse), but I think it's a problem with the writing and the direction. The way the emotional moments and even mundane conversations between Haru and Ren are framed is skeevy. That, and their relationship makes no sense. I get why Ren is attracted to Haru, but Haru being attracted to Ren is what I don't understand. Why is he so touchy-feely only with Ren? His romantic feelings towards Ren are so abrupt and aren't explained or built up properly, so as it stands, their relationship is creepy.
Luckily, Doukyuusei is out, which means I can watch a BL that's actually good. If it's half as good as the manga is, I'll be satisfied, because the manga was excellent. At the very least, the movie will worth it for the art and animation.
